About

Death and Dying Matters – Augusta Margaret River

Based in the Margaret River region, we are a not-for-profit and volunteer-run community group who is interested in normalising the topic of death and bringing it into the community.
It is important to reclaim this universal event as a normal, honourable and inevitable part of each person’s life and not something to be silenced and hidden.
We have no religious affiliation and respect the personal and private beliefs of everyone.
We are a member of Transition Margaret River and an affiliate member of ConnectGroups WA.

Vision Statement
Living more fully by holding death as a natural part of life.
Purpose
Inform, empower and support people in the natural process of death and dying.
Values
Acceptance, Respect, Sustainability.

Acknowledgement of Country

We wish to pay our respects to the Wardandi people, their elders, and ancestors, on whose country we stand. We acknowledge and appreciate their age-old care and management of country.
